About the Event

Each year, close to 30,000 people from across New England visit downtown Nashua to enjoy this FREE holiday event. The evening kicks off with a procession from City Hall to Railroad Square where the City’s official Christmas tree is lit. Much of the downtown is closed to traffic for the evening, allowing Strollers to enjoy the live entertainment, sample offerings from street vendors, dine in downtown’s fine restaurants and do holiday shopping at our unique specialty shops and boutiques. Check out this video from the 2013 event!

The evening begins at 5pm at City Hall with the candlelight procession up Main Street and the lighting of the City’s tree at the Hunt Building. Afterwards, enjoy a visit with Santa and the many entertainment opportunities with music offerings in styles from all over the globe, including big band jazz, country, bluegrass and indie rock, large choirs and small a cappella groups. You will also find dance and theater, magic, face painting, karate, stargazing and artists.  Submit an application by August 28th if you would like to be considered as a performer at this great event!

Craft Fair at St Patrick’s Church

St Patrick’s Church generously opens their doors to invite you in out of the cold to enjoy the Holiday entertainment featured there, along with the traditional Holiday Stroll Craft Fair.  If you would like to be considered to show your talent at the fair, please submit your application!  Otherwise, be sure to support your local craftsmen, get respite from the cold, and enjoy this wonderful addition to the stroll!
